Daruis was ranked in the ESPN 2018 Top 50 PGs and #2 PG & #8 overall player in the state of Illinois, as a senior Carbondale High School. Was voted the Illinois HS Player of the Year by The Southern Illinoisan & HS IBCA 3A/4A All-State 2nd Team.
He finished he senior season at Lindenwood Univ., where he ended up a 1000 point scorer at the NCAA D1 level. His Father has been an NCAA1 coach for 30+ years; brother Anthony plays professionally.
