Rico” is a combo shooting guard & small forward. He is a very shooter who can hit the 3, put the ball on the floor and attack the basket and possesses great floor vision.

 

He finished the ’24-25 season at LPU leading the team in Scoring, FT% & 3FG made; was 4th in the Conf. in Scoring, 4th in 3FG made per game (2.3) & 8th in Reb, as his efforts earned him as a 1st Team All-Conference selection. He put up a career-high this season vs La Verne Univ, of 36 points, while shooting 13-19 from the field and 7-11 from 3-point range.

 

In the ’23-24 season, he had the highest FT% in all of college basketball (NCAA D1, 2, 3 & NAIA) among qualifiers.  He, also, Ranked 2nd in 3-PT FGs Made per game & 2nd in 3 FG% in the GSAC conference in ’23-24 (min. 2 per game). While at Azusa Pacific Univ., he was a member of three NCAA DII national tournament appearances (‘19-20, 21-22 & ‘22-23) & one time PacWest conference regular season champion (‘19-20).

 

“Rico” is originally from San Diego, CA. His mother is from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, qualifying him for Puerto Rican residency.  Born March 10, 2001.
